The Inflection Chair

The backrest of the Inflection Chair seemingly floats in midair, as five elliptical steel rods twist evenly through space and wrap around a solid maple seat. The jaunty, cascading lines create negative space volumes that invite shadows to linger.

The compound curve shape—coupled with a structural accent bend in the armrest—provides a firm structure to lean against, while bending slightly for comfort.

The Inflection Chair was exhibited at the 2017 WantedDesign Launch Pad.
