The Erstwhile Chair

The Erstwhile Chair has a rectangular seat and varying height backrests that allow the user to sit in two directions, depending on what feels most comfortable. Inspired by Hans Wegner's timeless Peacock Chair, the backrest is comprised of dowels that are firmly fitted into a solid wood base, eliminating the need for a structural top rail. Removable felt cushions wrap around the dowels to provide added comfort and a pop of color. The Erstwhile Chair was designed and built in Copenhagen.
